You have a few options tonight. Not the least of which is Candyman playing on the TV Guide Network (yep, you read it right) at 7PM (CST). Not a bad choice. It's based on a Clive Barker short story, and it is probably better than you remember it being. AMC, meanwhile, is starting a Halloween mini-marathon at 6PM (CST), but is begins with Halloween II. So, unless you feel like spending a nice chunk of your prime time hours watching Season of the Witch, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend it. My vote goes to one of two films: one new, one old. If you have TMC, settle in for a nice, unedited night of Ethan Hawke getting tormented by Super 8 footage in Sinister (8:40 PM, CST). This is one of a run of very good horror from Blumhouse Productions (most notably, Paranormal Activity and Insidious) . It has a little more gore to it than those two, but it has plenty of genuine scares and Ethan Hawke is actually likable (enough). But, if you don't have premium channels, I'd go for Dead of Night, on TCM at 7PM (CST). It's old, B&W, and a little dated. However, it is the forerunner of the horror anthology movie. All of our V/H/S and The ABCs of Death (anthologies are so hot right now) don't exist if Dead of Night doesn't pave the way.
