Annie hangs her head. "I've heard the name, yes." She sighs. Tears well up in her eyes. "I'm-I ... I don't know her personally." She sniffs. "I think she ... I think she works at Sterling ... with my husband, Jason. Why?" She swallows a lump in her throat. "Is she the person you're looking for?"
The Drew nods solemnly. "Yes. She is, Ms. Walraven. Do you mind me asking why that name seemed to upset you?"
Annie chuckles to herself a little. "I'll be honest with both of you. When you're married to Jason Walraven, any woman's name might make you upset a little. My husband ... well, he's a bit of a flirt." She wipes at her nose. "Jason had a name popping up on his phone a lot over the past couple of months. Molly. I wasn't sure who she was, so I did a little checking and found out a woman named Molly Minter worked with him. Cute, cute little thing. Just his type. So I confronted him about her."
You ask, "When was that, Ms. Walraven."
Annie shakes her head, thinking, "Oh, it was last week. Maybe Tuesday? He swore it was nothing. Promised to stop talking to her immediately."
The Drew grimaces. "Do you think he did?"
Annie laughs. "You tell me. Where is Molly Minter?"
You nod. "That's exactly what we're trying to figure out, Ms. Walraven. We're just following any lead. Trying to trace her steps."
Annie sniffs. "And those steps lead here?"
The Drew holds his hands out in a question. "We don't know, Annie. Honest. What did y'all do this weekend?"
Annie shakes her head. "Nothing. Jason was here the whole time though. I can't remember a time he could have snuck off. He came home Friday. A little late, but nothing crazy. I figured maybe he got a drink with Scott or some other friend of his from work. But then he was working in the yard the rest of the time."
You ask, "What kind of yard work? I saw you had a little gazebo back there. I've always wanted one."
Annie smiles. "Oh, I love it. I've been asking for one. Jason put it up about a month ago, but he had to lay a walkway to it. That's what he was working on. Mixing some concrete and laying steps."
